Data Deletion Instructions
Effective date: 6 July 2026
You can have your data removed from uni-msg at any time using any of the three methods below. Every method results in the same outcome: we complete the deletion and confirm it within 30 days of the request.
How to request deletion
- In-app workspace deletion. Sign in and go to Settings → Workspace → Delete workspace. This removes your conversations, contacts, templates, media and Meta connections within 30 days. Only the workspace owner can perform this action, and it cannot be undone.
- Email request. Email [email protected] from the email address associated with your uni-msg account, with the subject line “Data deletion request”. We verify the request, carry out the deletion, and send you written confirmation of completion within 30 days.
- Revoke access via Facebook. In your Facebook Business Integrations settings, remove uni-msg. This immediately revokes our access to your WhatsApp Business data through Meta’s APIs. Then request deletion of the data already stored with us using method 1 or 2 above.
What gets deleted
A completed deletion removes all workspace data we hold, including:
- conversations and message history;
- contacts and their attributes;
- media attachments (images, video, audio, documents);
- message templates created in uni-msg;
- encrypted Meta access tokens and the associated WhatsApp Business connection records.
What may be retained
We may retain a limited set of records after deletion where the law requires it:
- invoices and billing records required by tax and accounting law;
- audit logs we are legally required to keep.
Retained records are kept only for as long as the applicable law requires, are access-restricted, and are never used for any other purpose.
